The Accusharpe Knife Sharpener in action.

The Accusharpe knife Sharpener can be used on all types of knifes from serrated and flat ones, to cleavers and axes and offers a much easier, quicker as well as safer alternative to using cutting stones.

From the picture, people can also see that it is easy to pick up and use, or even carry it around. This makes it very convenient. There is a finger guard that runs the full length of the Accusharp Knife Sharpener tool to make sure peoples’ fingers are kept well out of the way, so there are never any accidents.

The sharpening process itself normally takes around 10 seconds so it’s very quick.

The blade itself is made from diamond-honed tungsten carbide, this makes it easy to clean with a little bit of soap and water and also means that it won’t rust.

The Accusharp Knife sharpener is aimed both at ordinary householders as well as professionals, which includes those working in kitchens as well as fisherman, hunters, craftsmen, gardeners, etc.

Users are able to work the Accusharp Knife sharpener in either hand. The blades last for around 5 to 10 years and are reversible. At the point that the blade wears out, it is then also replaceable, making it very good value for money too.

Sharpening tool of the century,

This is a tremendous invention! I was a pro chef for about 15 years.
The customary way to sharpen knifes was a steel and or flat stone.
I have bought and used various “sharpening systems” and had ex-
pensive electric diamond sharpeners. However, this device is the
fastest, cheapest, and best one I have ever used. It puts a very
sharp edge on all knives (almost razor sharp), and sharper than any
$300 electric sharpener out there. And for the average 8″ chefs knife,
takes about 20 seconds! Get one of these and you will be amazed
how something so simple works so well.

Even though it sharpens very well, it is not a professional edge. I don’t recommend this if you have expensive knives. It puts a strange edge on your blade that can not be honed so all you can do is sharpen again and again which will eventually eat up the blade. Of course it will take years for this to happen. I recommend this for cheap knives.

This knife sharpener made it to the top of the heap for non-electric sharpeners in a recent issue of Cooks magazine. So, I decided to try it. The Accusharp is definitely a step up from a flat stone. It provides a more consistent edge in amateur hands and, gets knives sharp quickly. I liked it enough that I ordered several more for friends and family members with kitchen drawers full of dull knives.

Looking for a sharpener to take with you anywhere? This is it. The best procedure I have foung for using it is to take a black sharpie marker and mark the edge. This is makes it very easy to see if you have worked the whole edge. Set the knife on the edgeof a table blade up. If it is the first time a fair amount of pressure will be needed and you will see steel being removed. Scrape the edge until all the black marker is gone. If there is a small wire edge it can be removed using lighter strokes and tipping the sharpener a very little to one side then the other. After this it will be hair shaving sharp.
